__
When a teen party is planned in our home, there will be no beer,
wine, liquor or other drugs served or brought in.
It
is illegal to serve drugs, including alcohol, to minors.
I am legally responsible for anything that may happen to a minor
who has been served drugs or alcohol in our home.
__ Parents will be home and visible throughout the party.
__
If a person brings alcohol or drugs to the party, I will take appropriate
action such as calling the parents or providing safe transportation
home.
__
We will welcome calls from other parents who are concerned about
what is happening when my teen has a party, what will be served,
who will be there, and what time the party will be over.
__
If my teen is going to a party, I will not hesitate to telephone
the host's parents for the same information as above.
__
If I am out of town overnight and my teen will be home, I will protect
him/her from friends who may try to persuade my teen to host a party
while I am away.
If
our neighbors and/or police know that I will be away and have been
asked to check our home, my teenager will know that he/she has ready
support in discouraging the visits of other teens.
_____ I support the efforts of ARCH to eliminate the use of alcohol
and other drugs by our community’s youth.
_____
I endorse the Guidelines set forth by ARCH and would like my name
added to the list of supportive parents on the ARCH website, www.ARCHcares.org.
